Zetoe Extension Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 18, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how the Zetoe Chrome extension collects, handles, stores, and shares user data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and all applicable data protection laws.
If you have questions or requests regarding your data, contact us at [email protected].
Data Collection
- Types of Data Collected: User preferences (e.g., saved form templates), form fill data you provide (e.g., names, addresses, or inputs for auto-filling), and feature usage counts.
- Not Collected: We do not collect browsing history, login credentials, full payment card details, personal identifiers, or sensitive information unrelated to extension features.
- How Data is Collected: Data is gathered only through explicit interaction with the extension via Chrome APIs. Content scripts analyze page forms temporarily to fill them. Cookies may be accessed during form sessions but are never stored.
- Purpose: All collection is limited to essential operations such as form filling and secure payment state handling.
No background data collection, analytics, or advertising tracking occurs.
Data Handling and Use
- Data handled in memory (e.g., during payment flows) is discarded immediately after use and never stored.
- Stored data is used only to auto-complete forms and remember preferences for convenience.
- Usage counts help improve extension functionality but are not linked to identifiable users.
- No data is used for profiling, marketing, or unrelated purposes.
We comply with Google’s Limited Use requirements: user data is never sold, shared, or used outside the extension’s core features.
Data Storage
- Storage Location: All data remains local in your Chrome browser’s storage API. Nothing is transmitted to Zetoe servers.
- Security: Chrome’s built-in encryption is used. Temporary data is cleared regularly.
- Retention: Data exists only as long as you keep it in the extension. Uninstalling the extension deletes all data automatically. You may also delete data anytime from the settings menu.
No automatic background uploads occur.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
- We do not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties for advertising, analytics, or research.
- Limited disclosures may occur only if legally required (e.g., court orders) or to prevent fraud/security risks.
- If third-party APIs are used (e.g., for payments), data is transmitted securely via HTTPS and never stored or reused by Zetoe.
User Rights and Controls
- Access and Correction: View or edit stored data in the extension’s settings.
- Deletion: Delete data directly from the extension or by uninstalling Zetoe.
- Consent: By using Zetoe, you consent to this policy. For sensitive actions, the extension asks for explicit confirmation.
- Requests: Contact [email protected] for access, export, or removal requests. Responses are provided within 30 days.
Security Measures
- Local storage ensures data never leaves your device.
- HTTPS is enforced for any external communications.
- Content scripts access only necessary page elements. Permissions are narrowly scoped.
- No tracking, analytics, or cross-site monitoring.
In the unlikely event of a security incident, we will notify affected users promptly.
Compliance and Updates
This policy complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use), and applicable international data laws.
Updates will be posted at https://zetoe.com. Significant changes will be communicated via the extension or email. Continued use after updates implies acceptance.
Thank you for trusting Zetoe. Your privacy is our priority.
